Nia Asiel is a musical artist from Chicago. Growing up, one of her biggest musical influences was her grandma. Her grandma's love for music lead to Nia Asiel’s music journey. She started singing at school and even around her house just like her grandma would. When Nia Asiel was ten years old her grandma passed away from colon cancer. Her grandma’s legacy continues to live through her music.

I have a very supportive family in anything I do. I knew from the beginning that music was a great passion of mine. Music makes me truly happy and comes naturally to me.”

During the COVID-19 shutdown, Nia Asiel used her free time to focus on her craft. Consistency is her key to finding her success. She worked on her singing and song writing skills. She describes her music as a "unique and melodic sound soft yet still gives heartbreak vibes."

The first song she ever released was called If You Call Me. She sang about leaving a bad relationship and never looking back. That release made her feel great because people from all over the world loved her song.

She had her first performance in December 2019 at the Forge in Joilet, IL.

“It definitely was a great show but since COVID came shortly after I wasn't able to really perform any other shows.

Indie Arie, Ty Dolla Sign, Michael Jackson, and Lecrae are huge inspirations for Nia Asiel’s music. She would love to collaborate with Ty Dolla Sign in the future. “I have loved his sound and talent for years. Working with him would be dope. Also, I think a collab with HER definitely would sound amazing.”

Right now, Nia Asiel is planning to drop new music within the next month!

Strong Money is out now on all streaming platforms.
